Websites for Florida care homes.

A website for your Florida home, for $300 flat.

Florida has two agencies for small homes, AHCA and APD. Below: their kinds of home, linked to the Florida Statutes, and what to put on your site.

The names

The Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) licenses assisted living and adult family-care homes under chapter 429. The Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) licenses homes for people with developmental disabilities under chapter 393. Each kind links to the statute.

Adult Family-Care Home (AFCH)

A family-type home for up to five disabled adults or frail elders who aren’t relatives. The provider owns or rents the home and lives in it.

Checked against each linked page on 1 October 2026. This is a plain summary, not legal advice: the rule itself, or the agency, has the final word.

Your site

  1. Small can still be assisted living. In Florida an assisted living facility can be a private home with one resident. If that’s your licence, use both words on your site: the licence name, and the fact that it’s a home.
  2. Name your category exactly. Assisted living licences come as standard, extended congregate care, limited nursing services or limited mental health (chapter 429). Put yours on the page as it reads on your licence, and nothing more.
  3. If you live there, say so. An adult family-care home is a family-type home that the provider owns or rents and lives in, for up to five residents. That’s the point of it, so show it: your home, your table, your routine.
  4. APD homes: lead with who you serve. A group home facility (four to fifteen residents) or a foster care facility (up to three) serves people with developmental disabilities. Put residents’ ages, the support you give and your openings near the top.
  5. Real rooms and a tour form. Corrected photos of the actual house, a phone that gets answered, and a tour form for evenings and weekends.
