Group homes · guide

What a group home website really costs.

From nothing to a couple of thousand dollars in the first year. What moves the number is who does the work, whether you pay every month, and whose name the web address is in.

Here it is in plain numbers, with what you should own and the fees to ask about before you pay anyone.

Year one

The usual ways a small group home gets a website, and roughly what each costs in its first twelve months. “Year one” is everything you pay before the site’s first birthday.

The ranges are prices listed on the public pages of businesses that sell websites to group homes and care homes, read on 1 October 2026, before tax and add-ons. Prices change, so ask any seller for the year-one total in writing. Our row is our own price; your site is usually live in about 3 business days once we have your details.

Own it

Whatever you pay, these should be yours, in writing:

  1. Your web address. It should be yours, and you should be able to take it with you any time. It goes on your flyer, your sign and your email. Whoever owns it owns the way people find you.
  2. The email on it. hello@yourhome.com, not a mailbox that disappears when you stop paying a builder.
  3. Your words and photos. You should be able to ask for them and get them back, as ordinary files.
  4. A way out. Ask what happens if you stop paying: what stays up, what comes down, and what you keep.

Ask first

The price on the page isn’t always the whole price. Before you pay anyone, ask:

  1. What does year two cost? A web address renews every year, and some plans cost more after the first one.
  2. Is there a setup fee? Some monthly plans charge one before the first month.
  3. Is hosting extra? The site has to live somewhere. Ask whether that’s in the price or a monthly fee on top.
  4. What does a change cost? A new photo, new hours, an open bed. Ask whether you can do it yourself, and what it costs if you can’t.
  5. Is the logo extra? Some builders sell the logo on its own.
  6. Can you build on my own web address? Some sellers only build on an address they set up for you. If you already have one, ask before you pay.
  7. What if I want my money back? Ask before, not after. Some sellers don’t refund once you’ve paid. Ours are on the terms page.

Ours

Our price is one line in that table: $300, paid once, with nothing monthly unless you want it. This is everything it buys:

Everything in the $300

  • Your own website with your services, your house, requirements, questions and answers, and contact info.
  • Contact and tour forms so families can reach you any time, day or night.
  • Better photos of your house, made from the ones you send us.
  • Your admin page to see messages, reply, post updates and send newsletters.
  • Business email set up so your emails don’t go to spam.
  • Email newsletters a sign-up box on your site, and you send updates to families from your admin page.
  • A flyer to match your site with a QR code, ready to print.
  • A logo if you need one (free) at no extra charge.
  • Set up on Google so families can find you.
  • Web address with the first year included yours to keep.
  • About 3 business days from your details to your live site, usually. That’s typical, not a promise.

$300 one-time. Optional monthly plans: Fast Lane $20, Full Care $50 or Unlimited $100 a month. Skip them and the site is still yours.

After the first year, your web address renews once a year like any web address. It stays yours either way.

Questions

Is a free website good enough for a group home?

It can be a start. A free builder usually puts you on its own address, and you write and set up everything yourself.

Check two things: whose name the address is in, and how many evenings it will take you. Your time counts too.

Do I have to pay every month?

Not with us. The website is $300, paid once, and the monthly plans are optional.

With anyone else, ask whether the site stays up if you stop paying.

What do I need to send to get started?

Your home’s name and a way to reach you is enough to start. We write the words and set up the pictures.

Have photos, an old flyer or a logo? Send them as they are. If not, skip it.

Why does the web address matter so much?

It’s the one thing every family, case manager and flyer points at.

If it’s yours, you can change builders, add a plan or walk away, and keep it. Ours are: ask any time and we move it to your own account.
